Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Solar Panel Funding Ltd. By accessing and using our website and submitting an enquiry, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Solar Panel Funding Ltd and govern your use of our website (uksolars.com) and our lead generation services.
2. About Our Service
Please read this section carefully. It explains what Solar Panel Funding Ltd actually does and what we do not do.
What We Are
Solar Panel Funding Ltd is a lead generation and referral service. We connect homeowners with solar panel installation companies. Our role is to:
- Collect information about your home and energy needs
- Assess your basic eligibility for a solar panel quote
- Pass your details to our network of vetted solar installation partners
- Allow installation partners to contact you with solar options and funding information
What We Are NOT
It is crucial that you understand the following:
- We do NOT install solar panels. We are not installers or engineers.
- We do NOT provide financial advice. We do not advise you on whether solar panels are right for you or your property.
- We do NOT provide regulated financial services. Any financing arrangements are managed by our installation partners, not us.
- We do NOT control installation partners. They are independent businesses with their own terms and processes.
- We do NOT guarantee funding approval. Approval depends on credit checks, affordability assessment, and property eligibility by the installation partner.
- We do NOT guarantee specific savings amounts. Any savings figures are estimates based on industry averages and may vary significantly based on your property, usage, and market conditions.
- We do NOT guarantee installation outcomes. The quality, timeline, and success of any installation is the responsibility of the installation partner.
Funding Information
Any funding for solar panels is provided internally through our installation partners (such as personal contract hire, hire purchase, or business loans), not through government grants. You will enter into a direct contract with the installation partner for financing. You should read and understand all terms before agreeing to any financing arrangement.
3. Eligibility Criteria
To use our service, you must meet the following basic criteria:
- Be aged 18-74 years old
- Be a UK resident and homeowner (or have permission from the property owner)
- Have a minimum annual household income of £10,000
- Have a minimum monthly energy spend of £35
- Have no current County Court Judgments (CCJs) on your credit file
- Not own a listed building or property with restrictions on external modifications
- Have a roof suitable for solar panel installation (assessed by installation partners)
Meeting these criteria does not guarantee approval for solar panels or funding. Installation partners will conduct their own detailed assessments, credit checks, and affordability reviews before proceeding.
4. Your Responsibilities
By submitting an enquiry to us, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, honest, and complete information about yourself and your property
- Confirm that you are the property owner or have full permission to proceed
- Confirm that you are aged 18 or over
- Confirm that you are a UK resident
- Not provide false information or withhold material facts
- Accept contact from our installation partners following submission
- Review all terms and conditions provided by installation partners before entering any agreement
If you provide false information, we may cancel your application and may refer your details to relevant authorities.
5. Our Role and Limitations
We Are Intermediaries
Solar Panel Funding Ltd acts as an intermediary that introduces you to solar installation partners. We do not enter into any service contract with you regarding the installation of solar panels or provision of financing.
No Control Over Installation Partners
Once we pass your details to an installation partner:
- You will deal directly with that partner, not with us
- We have no control over their actions, timescales, service quality, or conduct
- Any contract for installation is between you and the installation partner alone
- Any contract for financing is between you and the financing provider (often the installation partner)
- We are not responsible for reviewing, approving, or verifying the terms offered by partners
No Liability for Partner Actions
We accept no liability for:
- The quality, workmanship, or completion of any installation
- Any defects, faults, or damage caused by installation
- Any breach of contract by an installation partner
- The cost, terms, or conditions of any financing offered
- Any misrepresentation or breach by an installation partner
- Any disputes between you and an installation partner
- Any personal injury or property damage caused by installation work
